3 Reasons to Choose Our Energy-Saving Mist Collector
POINT.01
Up to 50% Reduction in Power Consumption and CO₂ Emissions
Its aerodynamically optimized design reduces internal airflow resistance.
This allows the unit to deliver the same suction performance using a motor one size smaller than conventional models. For the SMG-100R, annual electricity costs and CO₂ emissions can be reduced by up to approximately 50%.
This helps reduce both the running costs and environmental impact of mist collector operation.
POINT.02
Magic Separator Designed to Resist Clogging
The unit features our proprietary centrifugal separation system, the “Magic Separator.”
Its design helps prevent collected mist, sludge, and metal chips from accumulating inside the unit, reducing the loss of suction performance caused by clogging.
This helps maintain a stable factory environment over extended periods of operation.
POINT.03
Easy Maintenance Reduces On-Site Workload
The unit features a simple design with no filters or discs.
Maintenance requirements are reduced to approximately one-tenth of those of conventional models.
Inspections take only about five minutes, and no rotational balance adjustment is required.
This also helps reduce issues related to vibration and noise, while minimizing the maintenance burden on factory personnel.
What Is the Magic Separator System in an Energy-Saving Mist Collector?
The longer a mist collector is used, the more likely contaminants are to accumulate inside the unit. Even filterless systems can experience performance degradation due to internal buildup.
Smart Mist Magic is equipped with our proprietary “Magic Separator.” Its simple, aerodynamically designed structure helps prevent dirt and contaminants from accumulating, while routine maintenance takes only about five minutes.
It is an energy-saving mist collector designed to support stable operation while reducing the time and effort required for cleaning.
| Smart Mist Magic “Magic Separator System” | Conventional Filterless System |
|---|---|
| ◎ Only about 5 minutes (simple design) | 30–60 minutes (internal cleaning required) |
| ◎ Structure designed to minimize buildup and maintain performance | Sludge buildup can reduce suction performance |
| ◎ Up to 50% reduction in power consumption with no adjustment required | Energy-saving operation requires adjustment using an inverter or similar equipment |

ONIKAZE’s “Magic Separator” Mechanism
Feature 1
Proprietary Magic Separator Designed to Minimize Buildup
Our proprietary centrifugal separation system, developed based on aerodynamic principles, helps prevent collected mist, sludge, and metal chips from accumulating inside the unit.
Smooth self-cleaning discharge also helps reduce internal buildup, which can be a common issue with conventional filterless mist collectors.

Feature 2
Double Centrifugal Separation with an After Separator
An “After Separator” is installed in the fan unit.
It captures fine mist that passes through the first-stage Magic Separator, while the double centrifugal separation structure further improves collection efficiency.
This filterless design achieves both high air cleanliness and energy-saving performance.

Options
After Filter / FU Box
This option is used when higher collection performance is required.
Two types of units are available, offering different balances between cost and maintenance life, allowing customers to choose the option that best suits their operating requirements.
| Model | Product Name |
|---|---|
| GAKH Series + GAF Filter | After Filter (High Capacity / Long Service Life) |
| GFKR Series + FU Unit | FU Box (Compact / Low Cost) |
Both a dedicated mounting frame (GAKH/GFKR Series) and the filter unit itself (GAF/FU Series) are required when installing an add-on filter.
For the optimal combination for each main unit model (SMG-20R to SMG-150R), please refer to the specifications table in the catalog or contact us for assistance.

Q1What is the main feature of the SMG Series?
It not only captures mist, but also self-discharges sludge and metal chips that can cause clogging, preventing them from accumulating inside the unit. This helps maintain high suction performance over extended periods of operation.
Q2How is it different from other filterless systems, such as cyclone systems?
The SMG Series uses a structure developed through extensive aerodynamic optimization to help prevent buildup itself, creating an internal design that minimizes accumulation.
Q3Is drain handling complicated?
The unit comes with a Smart Drain Box that allows immediate use after installation. Optional drain discharge hoppers and drain hoses are also available, allowing flexible operation to suit the conditions at each site.
Q4How much can maintenance work be reduced?
In addition, the simple design uses no filters or discs, reducing maintenance work to about one-tenth. Maintenance can be completed in only about five minutes per unit.
This helps create a production environment with less downtime and fewer interruptions.
Q5Is the internal demister disposable?
It can be removed with a one-touch mechanism, cleaned, and reused repeatedly.
Q6Does the SMG Series provide energy-saving and CO₂ reduction benefits?
As a result, power consumption and CO₂ emissions can be reduced by up to approximately 50% compared with conventional mist collectors, depending on the model. This helps support carbon-neutral initiatives in factories.
Q7What is the difference between Smart Mist Magic (SMG) and Smart Mist Magic R (SMG-R)?
There are two major changes. First, SMG-R is equipped with a new “After Separator,” which further improves collection efficiency. Second, the exterior color scheme was changed from a single light gray color to a two-tone design.
Q8Is it maintenance-free?
However, the SMG Series is designed to minimize maintenance work, extend maintenance intervals, and reduce running costs, making it an environmentally friendly mist collector.
Q9Can the SMG Series be shipped overseas?
Because these models can be shipped to various countries without changing the motor, they also offer excellent cost performance.
Q10Can the SMG Series handle oil smoke?
Equipped with a HEPA-class filter, these options capture 99.93% of mist particles 0.3 μm and larger, making them suitable for oil smoke-level applications.
Q11Are there any materials that should not be collected?
Never use it to collect sparks, high-temperature materials, flammable substances such as varnish, paint, or kerosene, or explosive materials such as magnesium, as doing so may cause fire or explosion.
